About This Network

Who's Caring for the Children? is a community forum designed to coordinate care for seriously-ill and grieving children in Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz Counties. This program is managed by Jacob's Heart Children's Cancer Support Services with support from Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford.

Our goals are to:

  • Identify and highlight community resources for seriously ill and grieving children
  • Create and maintain a resource guide to clarify the services provided by each agency
  • Develop strategies to communicate, coordinate and collaborate
  • Build a model of exceptional community-based care for children with serious illnesses, bereaved children and their families

The group seeks to facilitate information sharing, engaging conversations and collaboration among community-based service providers in a three-county geographic region.
